Join Jahara and Jamie for a luxurious three-hour workshop devoted to your well-being at a stunning retreat center in Avila. Our time together will weave mindfulness, sound as medicine, and myofascial release practices designed to leave you feeling nurtured, rejuvenated, and aligned with your heart. These offerings are trauma-informed and gentle and will place an overall emphasis on inner-resourcing.
In the first part of this workshop Jahara will guide students through a sequence of simple practices designed to release restrictions in the body-wide connective tissue (fascia), reduce soreness, pain, and fatigue, provide resilience in the entire body-mind-spirit system, improve mobility, and optimize the benefits of your yoga practice. We will use specialized myofascial (massage) balls to apply therapeutic pressure into the muscles and fascia, helping to restore their natural strength and mobility. These practices are designed to support longevity and ease of movement.
In the second half of the workshop Jamie will share mindful breathing and meditation practices as holistic self-care tools. You will then be bathed in the sound of crystal and himalayan bowls as well as other vibrational instruments designed to help soothe your nervous system, release stress and tension, and nourish the mind, body and spirit.
