Yoga

What is yoga and how can it help you?

Yoga is a combination of physical, mental, and spiritual practices that originated in ancient India. These practices are designed to support self-regulation, enhance a sense of wholeness and connection to the divine, and improve physical well-being, longevity, and vitality.

Trauma-informed, somatic based, therapeutic yoga skillfully tailors specific postures, breathing practices, and mindfulness approaches that will best address an individuals unique goals, diagnoses, presenting symptoms, and history.

The style of facilitation matters when an individual has experienced trauma, therefore this trauma-informed and somatic approach to yoga is sensitive to the history of clients and students and emphasizes resilience, self determination, and nervous system regulation.

Yoga can help you with:

  • Chronic pain
  • Stress
  • Back pain
  • Overall flexibility and mobility limitations
  • Anxiety and the symptoms of trauma
  • Arthritis
  • Fatigue
  • Improving heart health
  • Improving relaxation
  • Improving sleep
  • And many other benefits
