Join Jahara and Jamie for a luxurious three-hour workshop devoted to your well-being at a stunning retreat center in Avila. Our time together will weave mindfulness, sound as medicine, and myofascial release practices designed to leave you feeling nurtured, rejuvenated, and aligned with your heart. These offerings are trauma-informed and gentle and will place an overall emphasis on inner-resourcing.
In the first part of this workshop students will learn a system of simple techniques designed to release restrictions in the body-wide connective tissue (fascia), reduce soreness, pain, and fatigue, provide resilience in the entire body-mind-spirit system, improve mobility, and optimize the benefits of your yoga practice. We will use specialized myofascial (massage) balls to apply therapeutic pressure into the muscles and fascia, helping to restore their natural strength and mobility. These practices are designed to support longevity and ease of movement.
The priority during this workshop is to facilitate sacred space for you to feel safe, to cultivate a reverent connection to your body, create an opportunity for you to cultivate self compassion, and to soften into the space of the heart. To that end, we will have consent cards available so you can choose whether you would like hands-on assists, reiki, or myofascial massage. By giving yourself space to choose what is right for you, an opportunity to rest, and refine attunement with your heart you send a ripple of healing to your loved ones and community.
We will cultivate a space for you to release the burdens of stress, embody compassionate awareness, and radically accept all parts of yourself.
The practices you will learn can be taken with you and integrated into your daily routines to improve self-regulation during times of stress, return to a heart connection when feeling self-doubt, and contribute to an overall sense of well-being.
